The NCTI JATC would like to thank Rey Francisco Barrios, Mario Carbajal, and Ezequeil Suarez for their participation by representing our program at this year’s 2009 BAC/IMI International Apprentice Contest which was held at the newly named John J. Flynn BAC/IMI International Training Center in Bowie, Maryland.

The NCTI JATC would like to congratulate Rey Francisco Barrios on his 1st Place win at the International Tile Contest.

William Thomas Patrick Dumas
Feb. 21, 1951-April 18, 2014
Resident of Livermore

Went peacefully to be with Our Lord, surrounded by his family. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Cathie R Dumas. Bill was born in Kansas and moved to San Diego as a youngster. Where his love for the ocean and surfing began at an early age. He has two children, Justin Patrick Dumas and Mandi Dannielle McKean and Son in Law Elliot McKean. Bill was “FaVa” to his two granddaughters whom he adored, Elliana Rae McKean and Rylynn Hope McKean. Bills brother Todd Dumas will miss him greatly. Bill was a Journey Man Tile Setter for The Brick layer and Tile Setters Union. He was also a Foreman and Superintendent and later became a teacher for the Tile Layers Union Apprenticeship school.
Bill was a National #1 BMX racer in The Cruiser Class for 15 years. He rode his much loved Road King across the country and back. He and his wife rode with Black Sheep Christian Bikers. Bill was an avid golfer. He was a man of many talents and gifts. He was unselfish with his time and touched many lives. He will be deeply missed. Until we see you again Fava, we love you!

One of the best measures of the effectiveness with of the committee’s effort’s to date is the result of a full audit of the program conducted by the California Department of Industrial Relations Division of Apprenticeship Standards completed in May 2009. The audit evaluated 10 major program components. In summary, the program passed all 10 major areas of measurement with no recommendations. A 100% pass.  Click here to view audit report
